An excellent collection of eleven photographs depicting Black Panther activity across the country in the late 1960's. Many show protests/demonstrations regarding the arrest of Huey Newton (including a protest held on the Alameda courthouse steps while he was on trial). These prints are an important repository of a largely under documented part of our nation's history.
Pictured individuals include Huey Newton, Doris Newton, Brian McQuerrey, and various other unnamed Panther members.
Prints are roughly 8x10" and largely in good condition, though some have minimal edge wear and bear editorial markings.
