Great Depression Breadline Print (1928)

A chilling photo of a breadline outside the Madonna House on Cherry Street, New York in 1928.

Several subjects in the line wrapping around the corner of the building stare through the bleak drizzle that separates them from the photographer, making for a truly emotive photo.

Print is on 8x10" paper, and has edge/corner wear including pinholes in the corners. Print also bears a long crease running from the top left to bottom left, and an editorial mark visible in the scan.
