A beautiful press copy of a cropped Taxis to Hell – and Back – Into the Jaws of Death by Robert Sargent. Perhaps the most seminal image from all of WWII, it serves as a harrowing reminder of the cost that was paid to liberate most of Europe from Nazi rule.

Print is on 7x9" photographic paper. Bears hand inking made to increase contrast, editorial notes in the margin, and several very faded finder prints that blend into the texture of the sky. Also has a small (under 1cm) tear at top, and crease in bottom left corner; both are in the white margin and do not affect the printed area. All visible in scan.
